Keeping Your Attitude Up When Circumstances Are Down

This article was taken from the book of   Chris Widener "Instead of spending your time thinking about how bad things are, think about how good they will be!" Everyone knows that a positive attitude is key to a successful life. But what happens when things go wrong? What happens when circumstances deal us a blow? We have a tendency to let our attitudes take the dive along with our state of affairs. Life deals us setbacks, both minor and major, but if we are going to be successful, we need to know how to deal with them and keep our attitudes intact! We need practical tools to help us understand how we can go about keeping our attitude up when the circumstances are down. Here are some thoughts to help us do so: Take some time out. I'm sure you are aware of what happens. You are going about your day and everything seems to be going well, when out of nowhere disaster strikes. All of your best-laid plans begin to tumble. Sometimes circumstances surprise us an

Fascination

Fascination is one step  beyond interest. Interested people want to know if it works. Fascinated people  want to learn how it works. Learn how to turn  frustration into fascination. You will learn more being fascinated by life than  you will by being frustrated by it. I'm on my way to the  airport to catch a plane that leaves in 45 minutes. The traffic is not moving  one inch. I am now fascinated—not frustrated, but fascinated. But I must admit:  it doesn't work every time. Develop a childlike  fascination with life and people. Vitamins for the Mind by Jim Rohn

Lifestyle Let others lead small  lives, but not you. Let others argue over small things, but not you. Let others  cry over small hurts, but not you. Let others leave their future in someone  else's hands, but not you. Lifestyle is the art of  discovering ways to live uniquely. Some people have learned  to earn well, but they haven't learned to live well. Earn as much money as you  possibly can and as quickly as you can. The sooner you get money out of the way,  the sooner you will be able to get to the rest of your problems in style.  "Vitamins for the Mind" is a weekly sampling of original quotes on a specific topic taken from The Treasury of Quotes by Jim Rohn. The burgundy hardbound book with gold-foil lettering is a collection of more than 365 quotes on 60 topics gathered from Jim's personal journals, seminars and books and spanning more than 40 years.

The Two Choices We Face

Each of us has two  distinct choices to make about what we will do with our lives. The first choice  we can make is to be less than we have the capacity to be. To earn less. To  have less. To read less and think less. To try less and discipline ourselves  less. These are the choices that lead to an empty life. These are the choices  that, once made, lead to a life of constant apprehension instead of a life of  wondrous anticipation. And the second choice? To  do it all! To become all that we can possibly be. To read every book that we  possibly can. To earn as much as we possibly can. To give and share as much as  we possibly can. To strive and produce and accomplish as much as we possibly  can. All of us have the choice. To do or not to do. To be  or not to be. To be all or to be less or to be nothing at all. Like the tree, it would be  a worthy challenge for us all to stretch upward and outward to the full measure  of our capabilities. Why not do all that we can, ever

Your Most Valuable Asset

What is your most valuable asset? According to Dr. Theodore Leavitt, Dean of the Harvard Business School, the most valuable asset that a company has is its reputation. Dr. Leavitt defines reputation as “How you are known to your customers”. In marketing and business, we refer to this as your “positioning” or “brand.” Your reputation is determined by the way that your customers and prospective customers talk about your company in the marketplace. When we work with business owners and executives, we ask the question, “How would it be helpful or useful for people to talk about your company?” In other words, if you could be a fly on the wall and listen to one of your customers talk to one of your prospective customers about your company, what would you want them to say? Would you want people to talk about your company by saying that you have high quality products and services, excellent customer service, before and after the sale, that you are a high integrity company and that y

Why People Have No Goals Program By Zig Ziglar

Everyone has individual goals but only about 3% have a well-balanced goals program.  An individual goal could be something as simple as getting to work on time or losing ten pounds.  It could be a negative goal like getting the next fix or the next drink.  A goals program is an entirely different matter.  There are four basic reasons people do not have a goals program.  Number one is an unrealistic or imagined fear which causes one to believe that his/her efforts will produce failure, so it is “safer” not to try. Consider this: You could generate genuine fear in a bank teller by covering your face with a handkerchief, putting your hand in your coat pocket, pointing your finger toward the teller and saying, “This is a hold-up.”  The fear would be based on the teller’s imagination but the fear would be real.  It is this fear, based on false assumptions, which prevents most people from setting realistic but worthwhile goals.  Combine that with the fact that many people do not unders

Man Affected By Two Things

“You’re affected by two things. What you know and how you feel about what you know.” Everything that you know about life, it maybe your personal skills and accumulated life experiences they have a great contributions to your life you want to design. If all that what you know want you to positively affects your life than you gonna use it in a positive way because it will positively and negatively affect your destiny. How you feel about what you know will positively and negatively affect your life. Assuming you are an Engineer with talents and skills but you don't have a charisma and confidence to use your God-giving talent then you are useless. Your feeling about what you know will surely affects your destiny. This is very great lesson that everybody should know. This is proven effective  But if you felt nervous, unsure, scared or uncomfortable acting on it, then that will affect the value of the information. So the lesson is twofold. That’s why when I created this blog,

GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME, ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD

I believed every one of us has an individual destiny..     That destiny that we are going to mold every minute of our life...  Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it... If you choose just enough, then you will get an enuf result... mahirap tlaga, wala bang shortcut? Wala tlga...Kaya nga marami ung TAMA lang na pamumuhay kc  mahirap but you really determine to achieve your dreams and uncover your true potential GO ON!!!  No matter who you are,  where you came from and your educational  background IT DOES NOT MATTER!!! I, myself,GAGAWA PO AKO NG MARKA!!!!

you are worth more than a million

None of us is defined by our circumstances, nor are we defined by how other people perceive us. It is up to each one of us to define ourselves, and that is a life's work. Each of us has the ability to lead a dynamic life by pursuing our unique goals and dreams. There are no limits to what you can do. Always remember, WE ARE WORTH MORE THAN A MILLION!!!so dont settle for lESS!!!GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME AND ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD!ung mga magagandang bagay sa mundo hindi lang para sa mayaman...bakit mayaman sila eh ung GUSTO nila, bakit naman may mahirap kasi un din ung PINAGDISISYONAN NILA!!!

IT'S ALREADY WITHIN YOU!

Let me ask you something: If you could change something about yourself or your life, what would it be? - Are there limiting beliefs that are keeping you from living your highest potential and creating the life you really want that you'd like to get rid of? - Do you want to have more confidence to go after your perfect job or start your own business...  ordo you have particular health goals you'd like to make a reality? Whatever it is that you feel could make you a more productive, happier, more successful, and more fulfilled person... IT'S ALREADY WITHIN YOU! It really is. The problem is that sometimes you have to deal with obstacles that keep you from achieving your highest potential... obstacles that may seem to be very hard or even impossible to overcome.

Learning From Your Mistakes

I used to think that as I  gained maturity and experience I would make fewer mistakes. I thought,  "I'm going to get better at this, because I made a lot of mistakes in the  beginning." I believed that there would  come a day when I wouldn't make very many mistakes, because I'd get better. What  I learned was that as I gained maturity and experience, I would continue to  make mistakes, but I would learn more quickly from them. What I found out was that I  didn't lower my "mistake quota" but I learned better from my  mistakes, and it's because of maturity. Maturity helps us learn more quickly  from our mistakes and here are the reasons why: 1.  We become more self-confident.    As we become more  self-confident, we're willing to admit things that we would not admit if we had  lower self-image. 2.  We realize that mistakes are not usually fatal.    It was a happy day for me  when I realized that when I made a mistake, it was seldom f
