10 Things You Didn’t Know About Success from Jim John

Jim Rohn , the man many consider to be America’s Foremost Business Philosopher, shared his success philosophies and principles for over 46 years, with more than 6,000 audiences and over five million people worldwide. Jim was the 1985 recipient of the coveted CPAE Award for excellence in speaking as well as the 2004 recipient of the Masters of Influence Award from the National Speakers Association. Here is a list of 10 surprising things about success that most people don’t know. Each one is inspired by Jim Rohn, one of the world’s most respected teachers on success. Enjoy! 1) Success isn’t for just those who work harder than other people. It’s for those who work smarter. I know hugely successful people who work 4 hours a week, and unsuccessful people who work 90 hours a week. Success, therefore, is not always a function of effort. “ You don’t get paid for the hour. You get paid for the value you bring to the hour.” – Jim Rohn 2) You cannot run after success and catc...

Remaining Positive In Negative Situations By Michael Norton

“How do I stay positive when everyone and everything around me seems so negative?” This is a very common question I get from the community, especially lately. They point to the fires burning in our state, dealing with the higher-than-normal temperatures, the economy, and still many are struggling with unemployment. These are just a few of the reasons that people have pointed to in their emails to me when asking how to stay positive in spite of all of these things and more. In my email response I encouraged the person to keep things in perspective and to temper any negativity or the feeling to be sucked in to someone else’s negativity with a positive outlook. The devastation of the fires is very real and the toll they have taken on lives, animals, homes and communities is overwhelming. I don’t want to place a positive “Band-Aid” or spin on something that is...

Don’t wish it was easier, wish you were better by Benjie Malinao

One of my friends introduced me to  Jim Rohn  when I was still in college saying: “If you really want to change your life, read Jim Rohn”. I am thankful to my friend for introducing me to Jim Rohn. When I tried to find a few books by Jim Rohn, I came across this really interesting book:  The Five Major Pieces to the Life puzzle. Jim Rohn has been termed as America’s foremost business philosopher. By age 25 (according to his accounts), he was an ordinary, average middle class person like any middle-class family and was in debt, unable to see a way that would lead to his personal ambitions. Around this time, he was introduced to  John Earl Shoaff , an entrepreneur who impressed Rohn with his wealth, business accomplishments, charisma and life philosophy. Rohn joined Shoaff’s direct sales organization, and began a process of personal development that culminated in his becoming a millionaire by age 31. Jim Rohn says: Change comes from one of...

If you want to live an exceptional life, listen to  Jim Rohn ! Ideas provided by Jim Rohn are not only exceptional but I can surely state that once we decide to apply what he has said, we can live an exceptional life. Test for yourself. In this post, I would like to share seven key ideas from his audio programs. If you want to remain motivated and inspired in day to day life, my recommendation: Jim Rohn’s audio program. Here are the ten ideas. Take time to think on these and share your thoughts: 1. A prayer for every day: Don’t wish it was easier, wish you were better. Don’t wish for less problems. Wish for more skills. Don’t wish for less challenges, wish for more wisdom. 2. On action: If you keep doing what you’ve always done, you’ll keep getting what youve always gotten. 3. On success: Success is neither magical nor mysterious. Success is the natural consequence of consistently applying the basic fundamentals. 4. On making fortune: Formal education...
